David Fernandoes Radar at the German Center for Aerospace Research (DLR) from June 1995 to January 1997. His research, teaching and development work emphasizes the area of communications, stochastic processes, statistical signal processing, Radar signal processing, processing of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images and Hyperspectral image processing. In June 2015 he retired as Full Professor at ITA. He currently teaches a subject annually in the Professional Master’s Degree (MP) – EMBRAER, linked to ITA’s PG-EAM, he also works as a volunteer in an adult literacy program and mathematics tutoring classes for young people.
