He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering (Summa cum Laude) from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA, 1995), where he also obtained his master’s degree (1997) and doctorate (1999) in Electronic and Computer Engineering (Systems and Control area). From February 2001 to January 2002, he carried out postdoctoral research at the Department of Cybernetics at the University of Reading (England) with support from FAPESP. In 2005, she obtained the rank of IEEE Senior Member. He is currently a Full Professor in the Electronic Engineering Division at ITA.
