Davi Antonio Dos Santos


Associate Professor and Researcher of Control Systems at the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA/Brazil) since 2009, where he currently holds the positions of Head of the Mechanical Engineering Divistion and its Mechatronics Department. He also coordinates the Air Robotics Laboratory (LRA) at ITA. As an academic background, he holds PhD and masters degree in Systems and Control from ITA (2011, 2008) and BS in Control and Automation Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá/Brazil (2004). He was a Visiting Researcher at Université Paris-Est/ESIEE/Paris/France in 2013 and at Pennsylvania State University/USA in 2018, in both situations having worked in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) of multirotor aerial vehicles (drones and eVTOL aircraft). In 2014, he founded the Air Robotics Laboratory (LRA) at ITA and, since that year, has offered several undergraduate and graduate courses in GNC for drones and eVTOL aircraft. In the same theme, he has been contributing strongly to the community, through scientific articles, consultancies, technological development projects, and training many engineers, masters and doctors with great leadership capacity.
