Jesuino Takachi Tomita


Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering – FEI (2000), Master’s (2003) and Doctorate (2009) in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics – ITA, in the area of aerospace propulsion (gas turbines and turbomachines) . C-Level training (CEO, CTO, COO, CFO, CHRO) in Owners and President Program/Top Management Program (OPP/TMP) by Insper and Columbia Business School (2023) involving the pillars of Leadership, Business Strategy, Value Generation, Construction of the Future, Sustainability, Culture and Communication. Training in Corporate Governance and Director Development (2021) by Instituto Euvaldo Lodi (IEL/FIEMG). He currently holds the position of Vice-Rector of ITA. He is a Professor in the Department of Turbomachines of the Mechanical Engineering Division at ITA. He was Coordinator of the Mechanical-Aeronautical Engineering Course from 2015 to 2017. He held the position of Head of the Continuing Education Division of the Dean of Postgraduate Studies at ITA, IP-EC and Deputy Head of the Mechanical Engineering Division, from 2017 to 2020. He was Head of the Turbomachinery Department, from 2014 to 2022. He served as a Member of the Aerospace Engineering Executive Committee of the Brazilian Association of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences (ABCM), from 2011 to 2015. He served as an Advisor (alternate) of CREA- SP at the Specialized Chamber in Mechanical and Metallurgical Engineering (CEEMM), representing ITA, from 2011 to 2014, in which he held the position of Full Advisor in 2012. Current National Representative of the International Society of Air Breathing Engines (ISABE), since 2015. Member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) and Member of the ASME Cycle Innovations and Education Committees. Member of the International Forum for Aviation Research (IFAR) in the area of Electric-Hybrid Propulsion. Participation and experience in the Offset Program regarding technology transfer between FAB and SAAB, within the context of the F-39 Gripen fighter jets, having worked in research and technology in Jet Engine Design and Testing, from 2019 to 2023. Participation in the Project of the Small Power Aeronautical Turbine (TAPP) and in the SPD-TR5000 Project, between DCTA/ITA/IAE/TGM/FINEP. Current Advisor to AMPLA (Amazônia Leadership Platform) in the Innovation and Technology position. Experience in: aerospace propulsion, gas turbines, turbomachines, power generation, CFD, optimization, sustainable energy, sustainable aviation, numerical methods, turbulence models and actions in digital technologies such as: cybersecurity, A.I., Machine Learning, Big Data, i4 .0, sustainability and advanced manufacturing. He works as a reviewer for the São Paulo State Research and Support Foundation (FAPESP), the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the São Paulo Research Support Foundation. Federal District (FAPDF) and as a reviewer for several technical-scientific journals of international impact. Creator, coordinator and member of several Research, Development and Innovation projects, involving government agencies and companies in the Defense, Space, Aeronautics, Oil and Gas and Electricity Generation sectors.
