BS in Mechanical Engineering (UDESC, 1998), MSc in Aerospace Engineering (ITA, 2000), PhD in Aerospace Engineering (Imperial College London-UK, 2005). Associate Professor, Head of the Aeronautical & Aerospace Engineering Division and Director of the Laboratory of New Concepts in Aeronautics at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica-ITA in Brazil. Responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. CNPq fellowship holder (PQ 1C). Publications: 88 papers in refereed international journals and 160 papers in conferences proceedings. Expert in aerospace engineering on topics such as design of aerospace structures, composite materials, smart and multifunctional materials, finite elements, damage modeling and impact dynamics.
