Pedro Teixeira Lacava

He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidade Estadual Paulista – UNESP – Faculty of Engineering of Guaratinguetá (1992), a master’s degree in Space Engineering and Technology from the National Institute for Space Research – INPE (1995) and a doctorate in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics – ITA (2000). He is currently a Prof. ITA holder. At ITA he was Pro-Dean of Postgraduate Studies between 2017 and 2021, Head of the Postgraduate Division between 2016 and 2017, Deputy Head of the Aeronautical Engineering Division between 2014 and 2017, Coordinator of the Undergraduate Course in Aerospace Engineering between 2012 and 2016, Head of the Aeronautical Engineering Division between 2010 and 2014. Additionally, he was Associate Editor of the Brazilian Association of Metallurgy and Materials ABM between 2004 and 2011, Member of the Scientific Committee of the National Combustion Network RNC between 2005 and 2013, Vice President from the Brazilian Aerospace Association AAB between 2005 and 2009. He has experience in the area of Aeronautical, Space and Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on Propulsion and Combustion, working mainly on the following topics: combustion applied to propulsive systems, new combustion technologies, pollutant emissions, alternative fuels, gas turbines, piston engines and rocket engines.
